Green Tea Pudding
Mango Pudding
Vanilla Pudding
Cream Caramel / Caramel Custard
Black Forest Cake
Strawberry Cheese Cake
Marble Cheese Cake
Chiffon Cake
Vanilla Chestnut Cake

1. Merging the Finances
The Wrong Approach: United we stand, divided we bank.
Right Approach: It’s yours, mine and ours.
One of the first issues newlyweds face is how to handle their finances. Should you merge everything you have and earn into one joint account, or should you maintain individual accounts and open a joint one for household expenses?
For many newlyweds, the right choice may be somewhere in the middle. Assuming you both have a clean bill of fiscal health, finding a way to blend finances comfortably without feeling like big brother is watching every financial move you make can dramatically cut down on fights. Over time – once kids and mortgages come into play – many couples find that merging all their finances is simply easier. But unless you’re both comfortable with the idea, there’s no need to rush things.
2. Dealing with Debt
The Wrong Approach: Your debt will ruin us; you must find a way to pay it off.
The Right Approach: It’s our debt: Let’s decide how to pay it off together.
Like it or not, once you’re married, your spouse’s debts can become your problem. Granted, you’re not legally responsible for the creditcard balances ran up before you got married, or for any loans opened in your spouse’s name alone – provided you keep your finances completely separate. But even with separate finances, your spouse’s credit score will affect your ability to get joint credit.
For those couples not yet married, it may be worthwhile to think about a prenup, just to make sure that assets that one spouse brings into a marriage will always be protected from the other spouse’s creditors. But those who’ve already tied the knot should find a way to pay down the debts as quickly as possible, and without any late payments.
Vacabulary:
1. 此句改自名言“United we stand, divided we fall(合则兴,分则亡)”。
4. prenup n .
5. joint credit:
6. tie the knot:结婚
7. pay down: 还清
8. late payment:

Books a must-have even in sluggish economy: poll

As snow falls, pedestrians walk towards a Barnes & Noble book store in Virginia. Barnes & Noble shares soared on Wall Street Tuesday following a report the US bookstore chain had a deal with Apple, which is expected to unveil a long-awaited tablet computer.
During tough economic times when US consumers are trying to cut back the indulgence they can't seem to live without is books.
Three-quarters of adults questioned in an online poll said they would sacrifice holidays, dining out, going to the movies and even shopping sprees but they could not resist buying books.
Dining out came in a far second with only 11 percent of Americans naming it their top indulgence, followed by shopping at 7 percent, vacations at four and movies, which was chosen by only 3 percent of Americans.
"The recession highlighted the downside of greed, indulgence and giving in to temptation, but we noticed a shift back to life's simplest pleasures," said Michelle Renaud, a senior manager at Harlequin Enterprises Limited, which conducted the poll.
The survey of 3,000 people tried to determine what tempts people to spend their money, how they react to temptation and how far they would go when tempted.
Sex was a main temptation for 50 percent of men, while for 56 percent of women food topped the list. The sexes also differed in their approach to straying. Half of men thought it was harmless to lust after someone other than their partner, compared to 33 percent of women.
"Our survey also revealed that one in four women (20 percent) and, shockingly, almost half of the men (43 percent) surveyed have been tempted to hook up with their friend's significant other," according to the survey.
The sluggish economy and high unemployment also seem to have increased competition and temptation in the workplace. Forty-eight percent of people admitted they had sneaked a look at a co-worker's pay slip. Fifteen percent of men and 10 percent of woman also said they had sabotaged a colleague.
"It is very surprising the number of people who admitted they had done that," Renaud said in an interview, adding that she believed it was due to the competitive job market.
An equal number of men and 8 percent of women admitted to taking credit for someone else's work.
"We are so information obsessed right now that we are constantly trying to find out more, even if it is about our significant other or our colleagues at work," said Renaud.
Vocabulary:
stray: (of a person who is married or in a relationship) to have a sexual relationship with somebody who is not your usual partner(已婚者或有固定关系者)有外遇;在别处拈花惹草
hook up with sb.: to become romantically or sexually involved with someone
sluggish: displaying little movement or activity; slow; inactive
sabotage: to damage, destroy or spoil something deliberately to prevent an enemy from using it or to protest about something(为防止敌方利用或为表示抗议而)蓄意破坏,阴谋破坏
take credit for:抢功劳;争夺名利

Top ten technology gadgets for the modern hotel room

Marc Budie, technology director at Quadriga, recommends the top ten bits of technology that every hotel room should have, ranging from the most obvious to the more unusual.
1) High definition televisions (HDTVs) are the focal point of every hotel room and there are a huge variety of models for hoteliers to choose from to suit differing room sizes and budgets. They should provide a range of high quality HD channels to reflect the needs of guests and most major suppliers including Samsung and LG, for example, offer a range to suit all requirements and budgets.
2) High speed internet access (wired and wi-fi) in hotel rooms is a must for any business traveller and now many leisure travellers too. Almost all hotels now provide internet access, but the main challenge for hoteliers is offering guests the same level of broadband service in a hotel room as they receive at home, in terms of speed, reliability and security. One way of doing this is by offering a tiered bandwidth service, i.e. pricing the broadband service according to usage, where those who use less bandwidth pay a smaller fee than those who require more. This will also allow hoteliers to control the amount of bandwidth available to each guest and deliver a fairer and more reliable service.
3) MP3 docking station and alarm clock are two essential gadgets for many travellers. Apple has sold over 100 million iPods and many travellers use them to listen to favourite songs, watch movies, or view family photos, so any docking station that couples as an alarm clock should be at the top of any hotelier’s list for in-room gadgets. Alternatively, most in-room televisions also double up as an alarm clock.
4) Convenient power sources – Sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how many times hotel guests have to dive under a desk to access power sockets to connect and charge their laptop and mobile. Another option is for hoteliers to provide a connectivity panel which enables content from a laptop, digital camera or MP3 to be viewed/listened to via the television so they don’t have to keep recharging their batteries.
5) Mirror televisions are more commonly found in bathrooms, saunas and swimming pools at luxurious hotels. They are equipped with high definition technology, digital tuners and touch screen functionality. In fact, there were some impressive Mirror TVs being demonstrated at the recent CES in Las Vegas.

6) Lighting and climate control may not seem at first an advanced piece of technology, but allowing guests to set these remotely to suit their changing moods, whether they’re just waking up, working, or relaxing is becoming an important feature of a hotel room. West End hotel, St Martins Lane, is a good example of mood lighting and The Peninsula Shanghai has weather gauges on its in-room control panel, allowing guests to decide if they should put on an extra layer before heading outside.
7) RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) door lock for keyless entry to a hotel room and other areas of the hotel is becoming more popular in hotels across the world. In addition to this, new technology has been developed to allow guests to use any brand of mobile phone to gain access to their hotel room, so they don’t have to worry about their keys at all. Face recognition key locks and LCD screens connected to a digital camera to let guests know instantly who’s outside their door could also be an intriguing guest security proposition for future new build properties.
8 ) Energy management systems which adjust the temperature and lights in a hotel room upon detection that the room is empty and an air-powered hair dryer to help save water and energy usage are interesting concepts. A combination of energy-efficient air conditioning, a rainwater harvesting system and low energy lighting can reduce a hotel’s carbon footprint by 75 per cent compared to the average establishment.
9) Guest sensors have been fitted in Hotel 1000 in Seattle that monitor when a guest enters and leaves so that lights and other technology in the room can be switched on and off accordingly. In addition, The Upper House in Hong Kong uses infrared signals to allow housekeeping staff to tell if the room is occupied by pressing a button.
10) And, finally, technology to rotate a Croatian hotel once every day is being explored to give every guest a sea view during their stay. Not viable for every hotel, but boy would it help you stand out from the crowd.

It seems parents have long been right. Going to bed early is key to getting enough sleep and helping adolescents feel on top of the world, a new study reported.
A lack of sleep among youngsters may trigger depression and suicidal thoughts, according to the study by the Columbia University Medical Center.
"Our results are consistent with the theory that inadequate sleep is a risk factor for depression, working with other risk and protective factors through multiple possible causal pathways to the development of this mood disorder," said lead author James Gangwisch.
"Adequate quality sleep could therefore be a preventative measure against depression and a treatment for depression," he added in the study published in the Friday issue of Sleep magazine.
The study followed the nightly habits of some 15,659 college and high-school students, and found those who consistently went to bed after midnight had a 24 percent higher risk of depression than those who turned in before 10:00 pm.
Night owls also ran a 20 percent higher risk of battling suicidal thoughts, the study added.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends that adolescents should sleep at least nine hours or more a night. Those who were tucked in before 10:00 pm reported they slept on average about eight hours and 10 minutes.
But that amount of sleep dropped significantly for those in bed after midnight. And adolescents who slept five hours or less a night were 71 percent more likely to suffer depression and 48 percent more at risk of becoming suicidal, the study said.
"It is a common perception and societal expectation that adolescents do not need as much sleep as pre-adolescents, yet studies suggest that adolescents may actually require more sleep," said Gangwisch.
"Studies have found that adolescents do not go to bed early enough to compensate for earlier school start times, and transitions to earlier school start times have been shown to be associated with significant sleep deprivation."
